Donna Farhi is a world renowned teacher and is considered to be the “teacher of teachers”. She is the author of four contemporary classics: The Breathing Book, Yoga, Mind, Body and Spirit: A Return to Wholeness, Teaching Yoga: Examining the Teacher-Student Relationship and Bringing Yoga to Life: The Everyday Practice of Enlightened Living. Donna is a post-lineage pioneer, who has been at the forefront of generating a new model for teaching and practice that fosters self-inquiry through the cultivation of each person’s inner reference system.

This conversation flows seamlessly through important topics from the heart of yoga to interoception, injuries, teaching and recovery. Donna shares her infinite wisdom that has grown over 40 years of practice and many transformations. She talks about her own personal development from the time of her teacher training to her softening into her practice. She speaks about the importance of guiding students through inquiry based learning as opposed to mimicry, and how in some cases inappropriate teaching can lead to censorship of our own experiences. Donna also shares about her riding accident, and what it was like to go through a multi-dimensional rehab process, trusting her body to give her information that no one else could. This conversation is a must for practitioners and teachers, and anyone interested in deepening their connection to their own experiences and intuition. It was a great honour to have Donna Farhi on the podcast, and we hope you enjoy listening.
