How We Are Different

The word yoga means different things to different people…
Our approach to yoga is very different from a traditional or conventional class. All classes are oriented around mindful strength development, functional movement, mobility and self care. Students will develop better strength for day to day tasks as well as body awareness and control. We aim to deliver a thoughtful and intelligent class that is rooted in the basics of human movement.

Our approach includes moments of mindful attention to breath, particular parts of the body and movement. Our teachers have specific training in functional movement, injury prevention and proper alignment. Chanting, visualization and classic meditation are not part of the practice we teach. Everything taught in classes is optional and completely go-at-your-own-pace.

Fees

Monthly and 10 packs can be bought either online with credit card, or in studio with a cheque. Drop in students please bring $15 cash to the studio for your class. Don’t forget your first class is FREE!

What You Need to Know About Classes

The studio opens 15-20 minutes before each class, you may take this time to come in and warm up, relax or chat with the instructor about questions or concerns.

The last 5 minutes of class is spent in quiet relaxation. We ask that students don’t pack up and leave at this time, if you have to leave early please depart before the relaxation begins.

We have everything you need from mats to props. Students are encouraged to bring a mat and water bottle if they have them.
